Chi Omega's first S.H., founder Jean Vincenheller, was also the first G.M. and G.K.A. of Psi Chapter. She was elected S.H. when Chi Omega's initial expansion required a full set of national officers. Jean presided at Chi Omega's first biennial convention in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1900. Throughout her life, she supported and assisted with the establishment of active and alumnae chapters.
